Why do people join Cbusr

Individuals join Cbusr to make new friends (whether they are new to the city, looking to build a new circle of friends, etc.), find others they share common interests or hobbies with (such as running, dancing, guitarist, etc.), to connect professionally (for career advancement, advice, etc.) and yes, even for dating.

Will someone know why I'm interested in meeting them?

On Cbusr profiles you'll notice an open field under their profile picture that says "Let's Meet". You can use this to send a Cbusr a message to facilitate the meetup. The more information you can provide (when, where, why) the better!

Can I restrict the reasons for why someone would like to meet me?

Yes. Within your settings, you can specify the reasons you are willing to meet others. For example, if you don't select 'dating' as a reason for meeting new people, then no one will be able to contact you with that intention. If you don't want anyone to contact you, simply un-check all three choices (but that's not very friendly!).

How do I find people I'd like to meet?

Navigate to the Community page and browse other Cbusrs based on various filters, such as active, new to the site, who's popular and why they're there. You can also search by name and interests. The Cbusr database and filters make it easy and entertaining to find interesting locals.

I've found someone I'd like to meet, now what?

On Cbusr profiles you'll notice an open field under their profile picture that says "Let's Meet". You can use this to send a Cbusr a message to facilitate the meetup. The more information you can provide (when, where, why) the better!

How do offline meet-ups occur?

Using the messaging feature described above, Cbusrs can communicate openly to learn more about each other and if desired, organize an offline meetup.

What are good locations for a first meet-up?

We recommend meeting in a public location that you are both comfortable and familiar with for the first meet-up. Some first meet-up suggestions include your favorite coffee house, restaurant or nearby library. After you get a few meetups under your belts, you guys should start venturing out to new locations!

What do non-Cbusr members see when they visit my profile from Google?

By default, anyone who visits Cbusr.com from an external source can view your public profile just as would a registered Cbusr. However, they can't send you a message or request to meetup.

What are your photo guidelines? (size, type, restrictions, etc)

The photo you choose to upload for your avatar should be a recent photo only of yourself. Photos containing other graphics, such as a business logo, are strictly prohibited. The recommended photo specs are under 5 MB and in one of the following formats: GIF, JPG, JPEG or PNG.

What can I do if I experience something that is inappropriate?

We are constantly adding new privacy features to create a more enjoyable experience on Cbusr. Until an automated system is in place, please send an email to [email protected] if you witness or experience any inappropriate behavior. Please indicate in the email the member's name who is conducting inappropriate behavior.

Can I promote my business or advertise on your site?

At this point in time, creating a profile for your business is strictly prohibited. However, there are various sponsorship opportunities available with Cbusr and at our events. For more information on sponsorship and partnership opportunities, please send an email to [email protected].

My neighborhood isn't listed as an option, can I request it?

While we haven't included every neighborhood in our list, we tried picking the most notable. If you feel your neighborhood should be included, please send an email to [email protected] and make your case!
